What is BeMyFreelancer?

BeMyFreelancer is a professional and trusted online platform that connects customers with talented local freelancers for a wide range of beauty, health and wellness services.

Our customers can either ‘Post a Job' and receive bids from freelancers or directly book a freelancer using our ‘Find a Freelancer’ service.

We are committed to offering industry leading services from beauticians, personal trainers and massage therapists so our customers can feel their best every day.

How much does it cost to join?

BeMyFreelancer is free to join, there is no subscription required or fees to list your service. You keep 85% of each transaction.

Are freelancers qualified?

In order for freelancers to operate on our platform, it is mandatory for them to complete a disclaimer for each skillset and select their level of expertise. Further, freelancers can add information about their certification, licenses or qualifications on their public profile.

If a customer has posted or requested a service where a qualification is required, it is important that the freelancer has the right qualification to complete that request.

The best way to know if a freelancer is qualified and the right person for your request is to view their profile and also view their certification, licenses or qualifications before starting the request. Most industries also have databases where you can check someone’s qualification.

If you are unsure if your request requires a qualification please check with the industry’s regulatory body in your State.

Can freelancers purchase items for me?

We do not recommend freelancers purchase items for you, your job or your booking as we cannot guarantee reimbursement and do not offer a reimbursement process.

How do I pay my freelancers?

After your request is confirmed with a freelancer, a secure payment will be taken from your nominated credit card and transferred into a BeMyFreelancer holding account. Your freelancer will confirm the job has been completed and the payment, less our fee, will be released to their nominated bank account.

All payments are securely facilitated through the online payment processing system: Stripe

What is the BeMyFreelancer cancellation policy?

You can cancel a booking at any time, however;

a. If a booking is cancelled, by a customer, within 48 hours of its scheduled start time you will be charged the booking fee of 15% of the approved/final price. We require 48 hours as it will provide freelancers enough time to secure another booking.
b. If the cancellation is initiated by the freelancer, you will not be charged a fee.

What is the BeMyFreelancer service fee?

The service fee is 15% of the agreed and accepted price for a booking or job.
For example, if your booking or job is successfully completed with an agreed price of $100, BeMyFreelancer charges $15 and the freelancer will receive $85.

How do I become a freelancer?

We are calling all individuals involved with Beauty, Fitness or Wellness to become a freelancer with BeMyFreelancer.
Your work will inspire, support and make a difference in someone’s life.

Becoming a freelancer on BeMyFreelancer is free for everyone, only requirement is you need to be over 18 and you will need an ABN (Australian Business Number) and follow these steps:

1. Head to BeMyFreelancer.com

2. Select Signup

3. You are able to sign up using your Facebook, Google or Instagram account

4. If you do not want to sign up using your Facebook, Google or Instagram account you will need to complete the following details:
a. Email address
b. Password
When selecting a password, you must consider the following:
i. At least 8 Characters
ii. At least one capital letter
iii. At least one number
iv. At least one special character
v. No spaces
c. Select Register

5. By signing up you accept our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

6. You will be directed to your Dashboard where you will need to select Freelancer Hub

7. To use BeMyFreelancer you will need to complete your Personal Information:
a. Upload a profile photo
b. Please complete your about details
c. Verify your account by email address and mobile number.

8. Complete your Business Information:
a. ABN (Australian Business Number)
b. If you are registered for GST
c. Business/Trading Name
d. Tagline
e. Description

9. Add an Introduction Video:
Adding an introduction video to your profile is the perfect way to get your customer’s attention
What should I include?
a. Introduce yourself in a sentence or two
b. Describe your experience and skill sets
c. Explain what services you provide
d. Add a ‘Call to action’ statement

10. Add a Profile Photo:
Your profile photo is essential to your freelancing brand and business
They will have an impact on your customer bookings
Tips for profile image:
a. Obvious I know, but please show your face
b. Use only professional styled photos
c. Consider body language and facial expressions
d. Use contrasting colours
e. Use simple or natural backgrounds

11. Complete your Freelancer Information:
a. How do you want to offer your services?
b. How far are you able to travel?
c. What is your method of transportation?
d. What languages can you speak?
e. When are you available for work?

12. You will need to add/select your skill sets, you can refer to our Services Guide for more information:
a. Beauty Salon
b. Fitness Centre
c. Massage Parlour

13. For each service/skill set you will need to provide the following:
a. Select your skills
b. Enter a 'starting from' price/rate for your selected skills
c. Add a Virtual Session
i. Describe what services you can offer on a Virtual Session
ii. Add your pricing
iii. Choose competitive rates based on session lengths
d. Select the disclaimer “I have the right skills, qualifications or experience to freelance in this category.”
e. Select your level of expertise: Competent, Skilled or Expert
f. Select Save

14. Add packages to your profile:
Advertise packages directly to your customers.

15. Add Portfolio images:
Add a collection of images to best showcase your talents and skills.
a. Select Add Image
b. Browse your files and add your images
C. Select add to profile to add that image to your public profile
d. Select remove to delete the image from your portfolio

16. You can also add Certifications, Licenses or Qualifications (Optional)
This may include: Degrees, Diplomas, Certificates, Licenses, Qualifications or Training Courses
Select Add and complete:
a. Title
b. Organisation
c. City
d. State
e. Country
f. Start Year
g. End Year (Leave blank if current)
h. Select, I declare that the information provided is true and correct.
I. Select, Save

17. Add your Bank Details:
a. Bank or Institution
b. Account Name
c. BSB
d. Account Number
e. Select Add
f. Ensure you have one default bank account.
