The booking fee is an amount a customer pays to BeMyFreelancer after your booking has been confirmed with a freelancer.

Why do you charge a booking fee?

The booking fee is used to cover costs associated with running BeMyFreelancer, this includes: our payment systems and support services. We are a continuously growing business and these fees help us to improve our website and connect more freelancers with more customers.

How is the booking fee calculated?

The booking fee is fixed at 10% calculated on top of your booking total.
Tax is then also added to the fee.

How can I tell what my booking fee is?

When you submit a job or booking request with BeMyFreelancer, the booking fee is displayed under the billing method right before you submit your booking. We value transparency on our platform and allow our customers to make an informed decision about their booking.

How do I pay the booking fee?

The booking fee (along with your booking total) will only be charged when your freelancer is confirmed. It is charged to the credit card you entered when submitting the job or booking request. If a booking is not confirmed with a freelancer, you are not charged the booking fee.

How is the booking fee related to tax?

BeMyFreelancer is registered for GST in Australia. Your booking fee includes 10% GST.

Service Fee

The service fee is an amount a freelancer pays to BeMyFreelancer after your booking has been completed.

Why do you charge a service fee?

The service fee is used to cover costs associated with running BeMyFreelancer, this includes: our payment systems and support services. We are a continuously growing business and these fees help us to improve our website and connect more freelancers with more customers.

How is the service fee calculated?

The service fee is fixed at 15%, calculated on your booking/session total.
Tax is then also added to the fee.

How can I tell what my service fee is?

When you select job/session completed on your booking form, the service fee is displayed in the popup prior to confirming your job/session is completed. We value transparency on our platform and make sure our freelancers are aware of their exact earnings on a job/session.

The service fee will be automatically applied to your booking total and you will receive your earnings amount on a weekly basis.
